Congratulations to Hampton Inn & Suites- Kalamazoo, MI Employee Matt on winning the Hampton Spirit Award. He is the first GHS Spirit Winner of 2015.
Matthew is a natural leader. He keeps energy flowing through the hotel, and loves connecting with guests and teammates. Matthew looks for ways to help and procedures and processes to master. He is a pro at launching new initiatives, and finding ways to make them better. He helped re-imagine the checkout process by coming up with a list of questions to elicit useful feedback. Problem resolution scores rose from 33% to 80%! When HHonors members were unsatisfied with a new welcome letter, Matthew replaced them with effective, personalized business cards. Guests love them, and Welcoming scores leapt into the high 70s. Matthew, thank you for Unleashing your Hamptonality!
